Buttermilk Chocolate Sheet Cake


Mix:
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
¼ tsp. salt

Boil and add:
1 c. butter or margarine
1/3 c. cocoa powder
1 c. water

Add:
2 eggs
½ c. buttermilk
1 ½ tsp. vanilla

Bake on 350º for 25 minutes.

Frosting

¼ c. butter
3 T. cocoa powder
3 T. buttermilk

Boil; remove from heat.

Add:
2 ¼ c. powdered sugar
½ tsp. vanilla

I have made this one...it is VERY easy and is so delicious!:) I would recommend frosting the sheet cake with a rubber spatula as soon as you get it out of the oven, don't wait until it cools off.

Yes...that has been the cake they have all wanted this year LOL! I used to buy them cakes but they all asked for this cake this year, so it sounded good to me:) It is easy to make and a lot cheaper than buying one!
